Research Centres and Initiatives
The School also serves as the administrative home to the Canadian Labour Market and Skills Research Network, a network of academic researchers working on issues related to the labour market, skills development and public policy. The central activities of the CLSRN include the commissioning of research projects, the organization major reserach conferences, workshops and seminars. For more information, please click here.
The School manages the British Columbia Inter-University Research Data Centre. The RDC provides access, for approved projects, to selected confidential Statistics Canada micro-level data. These datasets include the National Longitudinal Survey of Children and Youth, the National Population Health Survey, and the Survey of Labour and Income Dynamics, among many others. the RDC provides support for both individual and team projects and offers a comprehensive research environment with powerful computing technology.
